How to Repair Dead DM500S With JTAG (1)

1.      Hardware Connection

LPT--------------------------DM500

2---------100 ohms---------11 ( HALT)

3---------100 ohms---------9 (TMS)

4---------100 ohms---------7 (TCK)

5---------100 ohms---------3 (TDI)

11--------100 ohms---------1 (TDO)

25 ----------------------------16 (GND)

 

2.      Connect the LPT MALE port to your PC, and then power on the DM500S.

3.      In the “Start” - “Run” menu, execute “cmd”.

 

4.      Execute “Jtag.exe -m dm500 -e 00:09:34:XX:XX:XX” (XX should either be numbers 0-9 or letters a-f), then the bootloader of DM500S will be downloaded into the FLASH memory.

5.      Several minutes later, the bootloader will be written into the FLASH memory successfully.

6.      Power off the DM500S, and remove the LPT MALE port from your PC. Then you can transfer an image to DM500S with DreamUp.

●    You can change the MAC address of your working DM500S with JTAG and JtagDm500.exe.
